Today brings news of two promising music-tech startups raising early funding: music-education firm ArtMaster and collaboration platform Chaos.
Czech startup ArtMaster has raised $2.4m of seed funding following the popularity of its piano-learning app Artie, which signed up more than 500,000 users for its “personalised AI lessons”.
The company began life as a music school in Prague, before moving into online video lessons during Covid-19 – and then (via AI) to the Artie app. The new round follows €800k of pre-seed funding in March 2025, and a past angel investment from WMG boss Robert Kyncl.
New investors now include AI-tools firm Moises, Google AI executive Eliska Vorel and Anchor founder Nir Zicherman, as well as investment firms Factorial Capital and Reflex Capital.
As for Chaos, that’s a London-based startup that has raised £1m in pre-seed funding this week from backers including distributor Amuse, Bridford Capital and unnamed music-industry angel investors.
It’s the latest music-tech company trying to get musicians organised for online collaboration: “communication, files, feedback, sharing, and lossless live writing rooms into a single space”.
The service is launching on 29 October after an 18-month development period that has seen Chaos sign up more than 15,000 people to its waitlist. The company has also opened a new London office including its own recording studio.
