Killer Queen Opera will present a cabaret performance of the new musical “Goat Balls” at Pangea in New York on Nov. 13 and 14.

The performances will take place at 7 p.m. both evenings in the East Village venue’s cabaret room. Composed by Steven Smith with book and lyrics by Lisa Hickman, the work is described by the company as a Brooksian, neo-noir musical. It is based on the true story of J.R. Brinkley, an American con man who claimed to cure male impotence by implanting goat glands in patients.

The cast includes Christian Harward, Clover St. Hubert, Miguel Angel Vasquez, Matt Giroveanu, Marie Anello, Trysten Reynolds, Molly Yuko McGuire, and Christina Swanson. Karina Camile Parker directs, Swanson produces, and Smith serves as music director and pianist.

Killer Queen Opera is a women-led arts organization based in New York City that works to uplift the voices of women, BIPOC artists, and the LGBTQ+ community.
