The unique production will include 20+ guest speakers, reading brief passages from the oratorio created by Handel and premiered in Dublin in 1742. The text was compiled by Charles Jennens from the King James Bible and the Book of Common Prayer.
Speakers, all with a connection to The Bronx, range from Bronx political leaders to University presidents to local waiters and honor students.
Admission for the performance will be free.
